  2. He/She logs in to his/her internet banking account.
  3. Details are received by payment gateway for processing.
  4. Information about transaction is generated, which is sent to buyer’s bank.
  5. If the payment is approved, the amount is transferred to the merchant’s bank account.
  6. The information is sent to merchant’s website.
  7. The site of the merchant provides the information to the purchaser about the success or rejection of the transaction.

PayPal

  1. Customer places the online order.
  2. He/She logs in to his/her PayPal account.
  3. Payment gateway receives the details which are used for processing.
  4. Transaction information is generated, and is sent to customer’s PayPal account.
  5. The amount is transferred to the merchant’s PayPal account. The amount can be redeemed any time by the merchant.
  6. The information is sent to the merchant’s website.
  7. The merchant’s website renders the information regarding transaction to the purchaser.
